The Update

Ministry Report May to July 2011

May 14, 2011 12:40 a.m. when the airplane takes off from the ground of Thailand airport I burst into tears realizing that I am leaving the place which I called a land of promise – The Land of Smiles.
Ever since I left that nation I still hold on to the hope of going back there. The ministry that God has entrusted me there was so remarkable. It is written in the history of Thailand, Philippines, mankind and most of all in the heaven.
There were no regrets leaving that nation because when my plane landed in the Pearl of the Orient Seas – Philippines the Lord of the universe has ordained things to be accomplish at my presence. After two weeks of being with my family in Liliw, Laguna God directed me to the ministry of IFL or Institute for Foundational Learning Inc. in Cabuyao, Laguna which is two hours away from my hometown.
This ministry is under the leadership of Rev. Patricia Capwell who is my spiritual mother. IFL is faithfully supporting me and partnering with me in the mission field. This time the Lord instructed me to work in the school as full time volunteer teacher.
I am now handling Grade 1 teaching all 4 major subjects and 2 minors (Math, English, Filipino, Social Studies, Science and Values Education). The Grade 1 class is composed of 19 pupils with different back ground. In my 11th years of teaching this class is so far the most special. The students have different back ground, different stories, and different hurts. Some of them are orphans, from a broken family, street children, bothered and abandoned kids.
 Here is our class picture taken during my birthday - July 7. Everyday these kids raise my temper but increase my love and understanding and bring me to the mother instinct that a woman and a teacher have. Their Pre-school teacher told me that this class is commendably special. I never start my class without worshiping God every morning with these children.  If you will personally hear their stories you will cry and you’ll see yourself extremely favored.



I am currently finishing my Units in Bachelor of Secondary Education.  This is my second degree. I graduated in Bachelor of Arts major in English in 1998 and took the first 12 units of Education in 2001 to pursue my career as a teacher but during that time I choose to quit my studies because I need to support my family. So now after 10 years I came back to school and during my 11th years of teaching I am now a teacher and a student again.  After my studies this semester I will be preparing myself to take the Licensure for Teacher‘s Examination. 


God is filling my heart with extra ordinary joy. Being here in the Philippines in this season is indeed a great call from Him. All I thought was this year will be a Sabbath year for me that’s why I am coming back home but then God has showed me that this year is a great year of harvest for HIM.
Please do include me in your prayers. Here are some of my prayer requests:
1.       1.   I am a volunteer teacher in this foundation and receiving nothing for my living but IFL paid for my tuition fee in the University pray that God would continue to supply all my needs and my family’s needs.
2.     2.  I am making more adjustments now in my studies. Last week I got sick due to so much work but praise God I am now healed. Please pray for God’s continues protection and strength as well as wisdom and knowledge for my studies.
3.       3.  Pray for my grandmother and my aunt who are both sick.
4.    4. I desire to attend the International Prayer Gathering or Empower 21 in Indonesia on October 2011, let’s pray for God’s mighty provision.
5.       5.  And lastly please pray with me for all my students in Grade 1 and for Tina my special student.

Thank you so much for your continues support and for partnering with me in this ministry, indeed your prayers are the backbones of God’s works. I am always thanking God for you.
May our dear Lord continue to shower you with great favor and bless you all with more wisdom and strength as you serve HIM. Please give me feedback regarding this update so that I may know and be encouraged that every time I send out my updates in the ministry there are people who can read and touched or blessed by what God is doing.  Thank you so much again and may God bless you all.

Pray for Us :)

Dear Brethren,
Tonight I am seated at Suvarnabhumi Airport waiting for the JREV Outreach Team from the Philippines. Exactly nineteen days from now I will be seated here again waiting for my boarding time going back to the Philippines. This makes me feel so excited to be home in less than a month. It thrills me to see myself waiting for my departure.
While I am waiting for my time to go home I am going to spend the rest of my days here in Thailand doing the mission works with the team. Tomorrow we are going up to Chiang Kham Payao  at 7:00 a.m. for two weeks to teach English in the Thung Khruay Village (Banana Field Village – a Mhong Hill Tribe near the border of Laos). And then on May 7 we will be back here in Bangkok to help in the Streams of Blessings Church.
My last 19 days in Thailand will be very fruitful, full of fun, memories and works for the kingdom of God. After this I will be home for my Sabbatical year in doing missions to Thailand. It is very hard for me to leave this country after seven years of mission works (4 years short term missions and 3 years long term mission).
I believe that God will bring me back again to Thailand after my Sabbatical year. With this I would like to ask for your prayers for me and the JREV Outreach Team from the Philippines (4 Pilipinos) and Changmai (20 Thais) as we do the 3 weeks outreach here in Thailand. Pray for God’s wisdom, protection, strength physically and spiritually and also financial provisions.
Also I would like to ask for your prayer for me personally. This is my first time to lead a big team (24 people) from two different culture and nation but one in Christ also pray for me in the area of my finances while I am leading the team in this outreach and God’s mighty provision as I go back to the Philippines. I have been staying in Nontaburi for three weeks since I left Ubonratchatani and last week I went up to Payao to visit the place where we are going to do the outreach. My finances have been very tight as I am not getting any means this time. It is by God’s faithfulness that I am moving right now!

Schedule of the JREV Outreach TEAM 2011
April 25 – Teams departure from the Philippines and arrival in Bangkok @ 11:45 p.m.
·         Stay overnight at Streams of Blessings Ministries in Nontaburi.
April 26 – Travel to Payao (North of Thailand)
April 27 – 29 – 3 days English Camp at Thung Khruay Village (Banana Field Village – a Mhong Hill Tribe near the border of Laos 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
·         Clean up the Home of Refuge in the evening (4-6 p.m.)
·         Age group: Grade 4-6 and 1st to 3rd year HS (More or 180 children)
·         ***We can also minister to the HIV – World Center
April 28 – go to Puchom Dao or at Fuche Fha in the afternoon.
April 30 – Finish the work at the Home of Refuge in the afternoon and cross the border @ Ban Huwak early in the morning.
May 1 – Sunday Service at Nimitsamphan Church and prayer walk at Phusang in the afternoon.
May 2 – 4 – English Camp at Ban Puwa School (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
                Age group: Grade 4-6 and 1st to 3rd year HS (More or less 100 children)
May 5 – Finishing the work in the home of Refuge
May 6 – Help at the Avrit’s house and help cleaning at Hong Yah.
May 7 – Travel back to Bangkok in the evening
May 8 – Sunday Service @ Streams of Blessings Church (tentative schedule)
May 9 – 10 – Help paint the Kid’s room @ 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
May 11 to 13 – Seminar at Streams of Blessings Church (training to make a handicrafts for the Children’s Ministry at 1-4 pm.)
May 14 – Departure to Manila

Positive Prayer

Dear friends, 
It's been quite a while since you read my post. Now I am beginning to create new posts for my blog. Please take time to read this teaching which I am sharing this week in one of the churches here in Thailand. This as blessed the brethren last Wednesday and the Pastor asked me again to share this. 
As I am personally blessed with Matthew 21 I would like to share this spiritual blessings to you too. Enjoy reading and God bless!

Text: Matthew 21: 18-22
Theme: “Positive prayer starts with two life-changing words: “I BELIEVE”.
Theme Verse: Matthew 21:22 “If you believe you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
*Believing is having faith. (If you believe there’s no question at all because you already have faith.)
What does God wants us to do when we pray?
-Jesus is teaching us to live a life of Kingdom living. God wants us to enjoy everything that he has in stored for us.
*There’s no measure in what God wants to give you.
Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…”
-The power that is at work within us is our faith; the Holy Spirit’s work within us.
1. Jesus wants us to have FAITH.
2. Jesus said do not doubt.
3. Jesus wants us to speak and pray with authority.
4. Jesus wants us to believe.
       -       He said in verse 22, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you asked for in prayers.”
5. Jesus wants us to expect from him.
Remember this: “If you could have the right heart; you could be entrusted for more because you are God’s bull’s eye for his blessings.”
Conclusion: Having a right heart is having faith and if you have faith the glory of Jesus will manifest in your life. It is your faith that will connect you to the heavenly realms. We need to live in the realm of His glory. As Christians we should speak with authority and pray with authority. We should believe and not doubt.
Here’s a Hebrew sayings: “What GOD does to us is based on what HE finds in us.”
